'We will never express this pain' - Ronaldo on Pele's death

World football legend Pele died at the age of 82! He gave the world beautiful matches, goals and best moments. And now there is great mourning in Brazil.

Pele became the world champion three times with Brazil: in 1958, 1962 and 1970. Together with Diego Maradona, he received the award of the player of the century in 1999.

Cristiano Ronaldo dedicated a long post to the death of Pele. The Portuguese said that it is difficult to express the pain that the football world is experiencing right now.

“I express my condolences to all of Brazil and especially to Edson Arantes do Nascimento’s family. Saying goodbye to the eternal king like this will never be enough to express the pain that the entire football world is currently experiencing.

It was a source of inspiration for many people yesterday, today and will be in the future. We shared a lot of love for each other. He will never be forgotten and will live forever in the hearts of football fans. Rest in peace, king,” wrote Ronaldo on his Instagram page.

Pele was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2021. He was encouraging the fans all the way and telling them that he would be fine. Exactly one month later, it became known that even chemotherapy could not help him. The metastases spread throughout the body, and for the last two weeks Pele’s relatives have been visiting him for the last time.

The 82-year-old legendary football player was placed in the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, and they tried to prolong his life there for the last month.
