“There was interest in Guardiola, negotiations were held with Pep’s coaching staff, but he chose to extend his contract with Manchester City.” “Perhaps it was difficult for the Brazilian Football Federation to reach an agreement with him because he is the highest-paid coach in the world,” Ronaldo was quoted as saying by Marca.
After the elimination from the World Cup, the head coach Tite left the national team of Brazil.
“Seleção” lost to the Croatian team in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in a penalty shoot-out.
