La Liga president: "Hopefully, Messi will return to Barcelona"

The president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, spoke about Leo Messi’s departure from Barcelona and expressed hope that the Argentine will return to the Catalan team:

“I don’t know if Messi will be able to play again in the Barcelona shirt, it depends on him. I hope he will come back. Returning to Spain, and especially to the team that has always been his native home, would be good for Messi first of all.

I think it was a mistake for Leo to break his long-term relationship with Barcelona, it helped both Messi and the team,” Mundo Deportivo quotes Tebas as saying.

Messi moved to PSG as a free agent in the summer of 2021. In the current season, the Argentinian scored 12 goals and assisted 13 goals in 17 matches played in the shirt of the Parisian club.
