The head coach of Liverpool, Jürgen Klopp, spoke about the draw for the round of 16 of the Champions League. “Merseysiders” will meet Real Madrid in the playoffs:
“The first thing we can say about this draw is that this is a real Champions League. I know that we have played “Real” in the final several times, but we have not had to meet them in two-match confrontations so often, so we are looking forward to the matches.
Real competes best in European tournaments. However, our situation is not bad either. Besides, our stadium is “Anfield” and everyone knows what that means. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination what kind of atmosphere there will be in both matches,” said Klopp.
The first meeting of the round of 16 of the Champions League between Liverpool and Real will be held on February 21, and the return match will be hosted by Madrid on March 15.
